ZERI JAPAN, a non-profit organization that will exhibit the private pavilion “BLUE OCEAN DOME” at the Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, will hold the “BLUE OCEAN FES.” on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

The venue is the “EXPO Arena (Matsuri)”, an outdoor event space located within the Expo site (Yumeshima, Osaka) that can accommodate up to 16,000 people. The main stage will be lit up with a live performance called “FM802 SPECIAL LIVE”, which is a tie-up with FM802, which has a strong base in the Kansai region of 2 prefectures and 7 counties, with a population of 20 million.

In keeping with the concept of “BLUE OCEAN DOME,” which has the theme of reviving the ocean, the live concert will feature artists who evoke the image of the ocean and artists with ties to Osaka and Kansai. Artists scheduled to appear include singer-songwriter MINMI from Osaka Prefecture, as well as Def Tech and Rina Katahira, whose songs and activities are deeply connected to the ocean, and will liven up the venue with a special live concert.

The venue will also feature food and drink booths, including food trucks offering a wide variety of seafood delicacies, as well as exhibitions and sales of products made from recycled marine plastic and workshops. Through music, food, workshops and more, we are planning an event where participants can have fun while also reaffirming the importance of the ocean.

In addition, the choir “Neo☆Stars,” which was formed mainly by 80s idols who are symbols of Japanese “energy,” will also appear on stage. They will liven up the BLUE OCEAN FES. with songs that will make you think of the sea.

June 8th, the day “BLUE OCEAN FES.” will be held, is World Oceans Day, which was proposed at the Rio Earth Summit in 1992 and officially established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2008 with the aim of protecting the marine environment. Events related to marine environment protection are held in many countries and regions as a day for people around the world to reaffirm the connection between people and the ocean and the importance of the ocean, and to engage in conservation activities.
